It would be SUPER interesting to know their thoughts on not just stuff like the Flintstones, but also if the action shows in the heyday like Herculoids or Jonny Quest are also in fashion.

The companies don't want you to know this, but you can just WATCH anime on Youtube, for FREE. Hundreds of abandoned series in copyright hell that will never, EVER get re-released, have been sitting there since 2009. This is how a lot of people got into anime before streaming.
