NEW THIS YEAR – Only Arkansas voters registered as Republican or Independent aka “optional” (the default status) can ask for a Republican ballot. People who are registered as Democrats can no longer vote in the Republican Primary.

The Arkansas Supreme Court today overturned its 1951 Arkansas Game & Fish Commission v. Edgmon decision that said legislators could not change citizen-initiated constitutional amendments without another vote of the people.
