Dr. Aimee Lee collaborated with Tanzanian researchers to study triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) in local populations. TNBC made up 23% of cases & was linked to younger age, advanced stage & lower survival rates. Read more in The Oncologist: doi.org/10.1093/onco...

Resident-led QI study by @ucsfimaging.bsky.social's Luke Bonham & Dr. Soonmee Cha improved follow-up for incidental thyroid nodules. Structured reporting & EHR messaging raised provider awareness from 75% to 98% & follow-up imaging by 19%. Featured in Radiology Business News:
Radiology resident-led quality improvement project boosts incidental findings follow-up rate
The monthly audit is used to identify findings that may have been missed by referring providers within their network, along with initiating communication of radiologists' recommendations.
