I am so glad I slept through the entire 2nd half of the Sixers/Nuggets game and so irritated I woke up for last 90 seconds of that OT

It is actually possible to hold two distinct thoughts in your head

Like:

a) Maduro was an oppressive dictator who subverted the will of democracy in Venezuela and was harmful to his people

b) This was a spectacularly bad idea with long-lasting negative consequences for the world.

That said, I'm totally down with a version of it that really doesn't answer any objective questions about the 'happening' and is entirely rooted in abstract human nature questions -- I just don't think that's Gilligan's style. He will eventually give the majority what they want here.
Plus -- it's not like the show isn't raising really interesting, meaty questions about human nature throughout. Really think it's a home run by Vince Gilligan, and it obviously could go in a bunch of different direction, but given his history, I do think it will move faster and faster plot-wise.
Pluribus Season 1 is great. I understand it's divisive from a pacing standpoint, but IMO the incredibly slow burn makes it all the more interesting and impressive a show because this level of restraint and long-form storytelling is just so absent from the TV landscape in this century.

The story of Liam's meltdown leading up to and during this is quite spectacular. It's sad that the TV version doesn't capture much of Liam, unhinged and drunk, chain smoking and heckling his band from...

It's for sure a Top 3 movie in the Star Trek universe. Whether it's 1, or 2, or 3 depends on the day and the mood. The Cold War parallels are pretty smoothly ported into the world of Star Trek, and St...

This is going to be one of the most embarrassing Sixers losses I can remember. And that's really saying something, because there are so many.

He's right. ESPN made so many mistakes over the years. They completely botched the podcast/video podcast game despite having a pretty significant head start. Not completely outsourcing Sportscenter to their social media/YouTube accounts in the late 10s was also a massive miss.

Watching The Sopranos episode with Massive Genius and Adrianna just threw out literally the most insane throwaway line I've ever heard in a TV show while casually getting into bed: "Richie had third-degree burns from trying to grill that trout with a downed power-line"

Pushing Canada towards China's sphere of influence seems low-key one of the stupidest things Trump has done.
Carney: "We can't control the trade policy of the US. We recognize it has fundamentally changed from the policy in the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, & it's a situation where US has tariffs against every trading partner... what we we can control is developing new partnerships, including w/econ giants of Asia"
