We all knew but this officially being made public by a court this close to his comments about Max having drivers as parents is hilarious.
The revelations in court that Lando Norris paid for testing and FP1 sessions aren't news to anyone who's worked in motorsport.

Drivers paying teams for sessions, either directly or via sponsors, is the norm, not the exception.

And while being below minimum weight also affects performance it is a very different error and therefore also affects the conclusions that can be and should be drawn from it.

But just generally speaking, something as simple to fact check as this should always be fact checked.
Sorry to point out a factual error but according to the official FIA documents available on their website only HAMs car was disqualified for plank wear. LECs car was disqualified for not making the minimum weight requirement. A fairly simple thing to fact check.

As late add on to the radio discussion from yesterday I finally had a chance to check the technical regs and if there are any radios not Broadcast it's FOMs choice the teams have no say
Anyway McLaren as a whole, both drivers and team are doing their best to give Max his 5th wdc and I am a bit surprised but I am here for it
Bc next question: why would that only ever apply to Charles? Why would they never keep his teammates under control? Or do you think Charles really has such little agency that he'll just do whatever? Or maybe he just has a brain and his own thoughts on what is necessary to be said and what isn't.
I know there is this need for poor little Charles to me muzzled by the big bad Ferrari but they've let him rant in the car before bc everyone knows drivers rant in the car when emotions are high.

This desire to keep Charles under control is so overstated.
Why would they have the power to do so though? Why would FOM give a team that power? It would 10000% be abused during the race because it can give you a massive advantage if you can choose.
And FOM can't edit 20 drivers live like that. They sometimes do for the replay but live there is no chance.
Charles probably didn't have anything nice to say so he didn't say anything. if Ferrari cut him off before he even said anything why did they let him publicly speak again later considering they still had no clue what he was going to say?
you are right he does press the the button but consindering he also keeps looking left and right, there are no resposes from Bryan until "pick up please" and he keeps turning it off he probably just didn't speak.
why would a team be allowed to cut their comms? they would be doing that all the time

FYI here you can see him both press the button and the light going on while he speaks and then he presses the button again because he is done. And this also shows the time delay.

and yes there is a slight time delay between the sound and the visuals of the onboard. but unless that light is on the man is not speaking and he wasn't speaking.

you can see the data point issue when it comes to the brakes. becuase the publicly available brake data is only "on" and "off". so if you see a slope it is not indicative of the driver doing anything it just shows you when the last two data points were transmitted. and that there was a gap.
Charles and Lewis having different approches when it comes to at least some corners makes for very funny looking time deltas 😂
(also the gps data availble to us is not accurate enough to truly draw too many conclusions this is interpolated. but in this case it looks like it fits with the pedal data)
also just to mention, since Baku is a street circuit track evo is decently big so keep in mind when in the session drivers set their fastest laps
