Accidentally made Repashy gelatin instead of jerky-paste for my millipedes. Luckily they don’t seem to mind the wobbly nutrition cubes.

The Aphonopelma chalcodes we’ve had since May FINALLY ate for us for the first time today!! Good job Tarangela the Tarantula!

Today I watched my 100th movie that I have never seen before! It’s an exciting milestone. Last year I ended up viewing 172 films, so I wonder how many I can still squeeze in before 2025 is over?

I’ve safely rescued and released 3 arthropods/arachnids from the inside of our house in the past 3 days. Summer is great but it also kind of sucks sometimes.

I always find it endlessly amusing when some animals have seen enough and unevolve the ability to see.

Sinners is easily the best film I’ve seen all year

Owning pet spiders has profoundly changed the way I look at arachnids now. For decades I was extremely arachnophobic but now whenever I see a spider, my own or wild, I just see a friend.

Trying gros michel bananas for the first time has been a definitively good thing to come out of this otherwise hellscape year.
