Also, random #justminneapolislegalthings, I’ve been reading Trump related case materials for years, and it’s surreal to see judges you have cases in front of on a regular basis making national news for those opinions now.

Ok, so I’m not getting in line for noted liberal squish Judge Schiltz’s hearing on Friday, but hot damn this order. If I ever got an order like this or the prior one from Judge Schiltz on one of the cases I work on, I’d quit the (paralegal) practice of law and go into exile in the northwoods.

I see the right wing press is attacking noted liberal squish Judge Patrick Schiltz for donations to organizations that provide legal support to the indigent, including the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota. That sound you hear is the collective eyeroll & sigh of everyone in the MN legal community.

Cats if Minneapolis update: new kitten Roan is integrating himself in with the existing cat crew. He’s figured out the “wack uncle Dood in the donut” game, and is trying to win over crazy auntie Kedi. Resident (grown ass adult) kittens Ace and Stew remain wary.

During the pandemic I started pin collecting, and now have something for nearly all occasions. Twin Cities under siege by the federal government? Yup, I’ve got pins for that. Heading to NYC for another work trip, and hope my colleagues enjoy my selections.

I’m traveling a lot for work this year. So I sit in a court room in LA, and my heart is broken into a million pieces, surrounded by blinding rage over what the federal government is doing to my Minneapolis family. The SO holding down the fort back home sends cat pics, so at least I have that.

Yesterday was a tough day here in South #Minneapolis. I was in high school in the early golden age of school shootings, 1998/1999, & can’t believe we have a whole generation whose entire life has known nothing but this. Hard to pull myself out of ongoing hopelessness when it’s the same ol same ol.

#CVG2025 has come & gone. As always, I spent most of my time working reg & handing out cat person ribbons. I did get out a bit & was thrilled to debut my #Neel from #starwars #skeletoncrew #cosplay. I don’t know how the actors manage in these masks, cuz I just about died doing this for 2 hours!
