So, when I heard after taking her to the doctor that she had breast cancer, my heart sunk. I was afraid of losing the only family member who I cared and understood me.

To hear the news we got today, had me practically in tears of joy as I gave my mom the biggest hug I mustered.

It was at the behest of my mom, to see a doctor and at both of their recommendations, was for me to leave Michigan and move in with her.

While it's been an uphill battle, with plenty of highs and lows, I would not be here today, if it wasn't for her.

It's beyond any words I could type how I'm feeling right now, but I'll try my best.

Many years ago, this frog was in a very dark place mentally. A job that had managers treating me miserably, living with a family member who only made me feel even worse, and feeling I had nowhere to turn to.

Well, this frog is beyond happy.

Five years ago, my mom had to go in for a surgery due to a cancerous tumor found in her breast. It was a nerve-wracking experience.

Now, we heard back from the doctor. She's been declared 100% cancer free.
