There are few Dramas from anywhere that are universally acclaimed without dissension. In 12 years of watching East Asian Dramas I have never read a single negative review or opinion of this one.

Into ep 23/40 in #cDrama #SheAndHerPerfectHusband and still hitting FF ever time his mother appears on screen. Characters like her make my skin crawl, the only useful purpose they serve is in helping me get through Dramas faster.

I know a full-length #cDrama is good when the anxiety kicks in early: 10/40 into #SheAndHerPerfectHusband and already it's SO good the "how (many ways) will they screw this up?" fears are starting to nibble at me. Hoping I saved enough villages in past lives to be rewarded with the answer "none"

Absolutely! That's why my reference to him in my #jDrama comment was not really tangential - I had his Devdas mostly in mind as the exact antithesis of that "subtance over style" you mentioned re older #kDrama and that I love about good #jDrama
