The sky came down to touch my feet

Lake Michigan at sunset. The sun has already gone past the horizon, and the sky near horizon is ablaze in orange. Most of the sky is overcast is gray clouds which are lit below by the sun's red light. The water and the beach are both dark, but at their meeting when a wave pulls back into a thin sheet the sky's reflection shines bright in a gradient that ranges from orange to an almost magenta red

I had a good time at the grand rapids protest and had some really fucking good sushi at sushi yama

I like watching the waves but I love to be in them

Sunset on lake Michigan from the top of a dune overlook. The sky is darker but the horizon is brighter now in comparison. The lake looks flat out in the open water but nearer shore it has waves whose ripples darken the reflection of the sky.

The sunset is orange and yellow with a dark strip at the horizon. The waves have gotten a bit more distinct now.

There are two people walking along the beach down below. As well as the larger wave pattern there is another shorter smaller wave moving perpendicular from right to left, maybe bouncing off the shore?

The sunset is a beautiful bright orange which quickly begins to fade into darkness. The whole picture is framed by leaves from the trees growing on top of this dune.

We still get plenty of great sunsets all year round but they look better neck deep in the lake

Here the sky is more orange and peach colored and so is the lake to reflect that.

From a few weeks ago

A still day on lake Michigan and we are in the water. The sun is a hazy blur in a clear sky. There is barely a ripple on the lake's surface all the way to the horizon.

Looking back at shore the sandy beach is bright in the sun and the water is like a fun house mirror reflecting the land. There are trees and beach grass on the short dune. The sky is bright blue.

Looking down the shoreline the thin green strip of land disappears into the distance. The clear water shows the lake's sandy bottom with some dancing rays of light. Gentle curves on the lake's surface reveal the suggestion of waves.

Now we are sitting on the beach and the sun is nearing the horizon. The sky and the lake are bright orange. The sun's halo and reflection on the water resemble a cobra.

Is it good when a bridge does that?

A large hole on the side of a bridge made of concrete, where pieces of the side come together. It is a highway with lots of traffic. There are murals of a bee and other animals painted on the wall of the tunnel underneath and there is an orange construction barrier at the end of the tunnel for unrelated work.
