It's time to stop being shocked and start fighting back. I get that is scary, but if we don't stand up to fascism now, it's going to get a lot scarier. If people would listen to those of us sounding off for years, we would be prepared instead of scared.

My first thought was “wow I hope this guy didn’t give out his name because he could absolutely be charged” and yup, he is correct to stay anonymous.

This man’s account is shocking. His neighbors’ situation is shocking. The entire Chicago raid is shocking.

On the other side was a mom and her 7-year-old daughter, pleading for his help.
"I wasn't planning on letting her stay, but I didn't know what the hell was going on," the man said of his Venezuelan migrant neighbors. But he quickly relented. The little girl was inconsolable and hid under his bed.
"I didn't want them to take her," said the man, who didn't want to be named because he fears he'll be targeted by federal authorities for his actions.
"I gave her my bedroom, and I just told her,
'Just stay there. Don't open, don't, shh, just stay quiet," he recalled telling the mom and daughter as he choked back tears.

Self-reflection; thinking about what I have been through & where I am now, it's bewildering. Physically, mentally, emotionally— to say life is a journey, doesn't do it justice. Life is dips, valleys, hills, mountains, oceans, streams & rivers. It's nature, it is wonder. Be good to yourself.

Field trips are wasted on average typical kids. School too. My son wants to be present every day and learn, but "regular kids" practically make it impossible for him. Most people are shitty humans.

I would argue they're men. Being a "bad" or "good" man doesn't make you less of a man. Men need to be held accountable and not excused for who they are. Labeling them boys for lack of emotional intelligence, delegitimizes actions and places unfair stigma on boys, who are actually better humans.
