Rain has now fallen in Reading for 25 consecutive days - the longest spell of rainfall ever recorded at our Atmospheric Observatory.

Dr Stephen Burt, said: “With further rainfall expected, the spell of consecutive days of rain may stretch to an entire month.”

Severe vitamin D
deficiency linked
to increased risk
of bronchitis and pneumonia

Researchers have found that individuals with severe vitamin D deficiency were 33% more likely to be admitted to hospital with respiratory tract infections than those with sufficient levels.

New data confirms Earth’s third-warmest year on record, and 11th warmest year in a row.
