& they would obviously never admit to that & i think they probably don’t know that abt themselves either. but it is an element of even internalized homophobia that many ppl have to unlearn because we live in such a homophobic society unfortunately. it’s so pervasive 😔💔

they identify with her so deeply that an official coming out would shake the foundations of who they are. they are fine with openly queer artists that are openly queer from the start because they can maintain a layer of removal from them even when they don’t realize that’s what they’re doing.

see, i kind of disagree that they don’t believe being queer is bad. i think a lot of ppl are VERY averse to even relating to what they perceive as “queer” media. it’s fine to watch it & enjoy it, but making it a part of ur identity & personhood is a completely different story. even for gay fans.
