They also tried to introduce last minute contractual changes banning prayer breaks, cutting benefits enforcing mandatory overtime, and even giving bosses power to search staff and their cars. 🤯

Concierge & Cleaners at West End Quay luxury apartments, Paddington, are on 10-day strike because bosses decided to RIP UP an agreement they themselves reached at ACAS! 

And for what? To force workers to give up their legal right to negotiate under their union agreement in exchange for a pay rise!

We are writing to you in support of ASLEF members in relation to your vile victimisation of a trade union member who raised health and safety concerns with you.

After 73 days of action, which have seen growing support for the unfairly victimised trade union member, we are urging you to reinstate the member affected and to end this dispute now.

Trade union activity, including raising vital health and safety concerns, is fundamental to the role of effective trade unions in the workplace.The actions of Hull Trains management could damage safety culture across the rail industry.

Today, on 29 August, we stand in solidarity and will be encouraging our members to join the solidarity rally.

We will continue to use the full power and ‘weight’ of our movement to make sure Hull Trains is held to account for these actions.

✅ ATTENDANCE ALLOWANCE SCRAPPED

Contractor OCS tried to impose a punitive scheme offering 50p extra per hour… BUT if you missed even one shift, you’d lose a whole month’s bonus.

UVW members said 'NO!'.

The Solace strike planned for 29 July is cancelled.

We are hopeful @solacewomensaid.bsky.social 's agreement to work collaboratively w/ UVW towards a voluntary recognition deal marks the start of a long period of positive industrial relations between our organisations.
