Cascio's area of the study uses MRI to understand how teens process positive and negative social media experiences and how those experiences affect their mental health and health behaviors.

Assoc prof Chris Cascio and a team of researchers are studying how social media affects teens' physical and mental health. The long-term, federally-funded project tracks the online activity of 300+ Wisconsin teens and studies their behavior, well-being and brain.
