Incredibly excited to kick off October Horror with my look at Jim Van Bebber’s short films. Roadkill and My Sweet Satan are two of his strongest works, offering particularly nightmarish visions of Ohio.

There are great pieces in store this year, and I have another Ohio piece coming down the line!

What a gorgeous bookshop @coloursmayvary.bsky.social in #Leeds is, and that was even before we saw their excellent selection of @headpress.com titles ❤️

Now that you mention it, I know of one who was even involved in that Massacre release, so that’s a good point

Degausser stuff is hard to pin down, they’re all over the place. Sukenick seems like quite a swing for them, but it would definitely be welcome

Only a few SOV titles are actual masterpieces, and Charles Pinion’s Red Spirit Lake is one of them. RSL started as a response to Pinion’s film project, Killbillies, one of the great unrealized underground films, falling through.

Here’s a copy of the Killbillies script that belonged to Gibby Haynes.

Very proud to have this piece published on The Friends of Eddie Coyle at Sabbatical’s Substack. This is a movie that snuck up on me and has become the closest thing I have to a comfort movie. Today has been pretty rotten, so this is especially timely.

Digging through stuff and yet again questioning my decision to start picking up posters. I love them all, but it’s hard to justify when the frames are just 1 inch larger than standard, but three times the price.

My uncle would get this on VHS from the library and I was so confused when I looked at the cases
