I’ll admit to having heard of this show before this thread (unlike whatever fucking “Benson” is) but that’s cause I discovered the DVD box set while fucking around Wal-Mart this year and the thought process was basically:

1: Fuck is this show?

2: Is that fucking David Spade?

My issue was the idea that Democrats losing the south is due to some bespoke messaging failure and not because the white majority in most southern states is primarily of the dumbshit redneck variety that wouldn’t vote for a Dem to save their lives.

It’s a figure of speech, but I’m not married to it. Call “pretending the vast majority of southern voters (the white ones, let’s be honest) AREN’T just awful people deep down and are actually totally winnable with “the right message” whatever you’d like if the “ass kissing” thing doesn’t sit right.

The key point of that picture wasn’t the map but the ratio of Trump voters to Harris voters.

Government logistics are really fun too! I get that the Galactic Senate by the time of TPM is supposed to be dysfunctional, but both EU and Disney canon rely on the idea that a body of multiple thousands (millions?) of senators representing fucking billions managed to work for centuries.
