Because my 15yr old Citroen C3 Diesel does 50+mpg, needs little or no attention because it's well built with quality parts, and if a part is needed it's cheap and easy to get. It fits all the roads around where I live and I can park it at the supermarket in 1 without taking up 2 spaces

Now why would be poorly built, low quality, inefficient American cars, with out of date engineering? I drive a Citroen C3 Diesel, I get 50+ mpg it costs me £35/yr in VED and just £230 Insurance, it fits down all the local roads and parking spaces.
