Fantastic afternoon at the Hummingbird Open House learning more about the Methow Descendants. Hummingbird is owned by the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation and offers a place where the Methow Descendants can preserve and share their traditional knowledge.

We’re staring down another heatwave next week. But it was 61° in the house this morning. Wyatt was a little chilly and appreciated cozying up in his lovely blanket. We would freak out if the house were 61° in the winter, however 61° today, YAY!!!

I unfurled our sunshade and found this little bat asleep in it. I needed to move him or he’d die in the sun. I got my gardening gloves and picked him up. He woke up and flew away as soon as I got him out the front door. Cute little fellow! I did not have bat rescue on my bingo card for today!! 🦇

Hahaha! Yes, Wyatt did wake me up and ask to go out. Both dogs are very good about letting us know if they need to go out in the middle of the night. I appreciate them. Sure beats the alternative.
