1. Herman invading his daughter and mildew's space stating "Arghhh my girls!" as he holds mildews shoulder, rubbing his face onto hazels (Hazel = daughter/ Mildew = his friends/Hemlocks granddaughter) He considers Mildew his daughter too. Mildew looking nonchalont yet pleased to see him "Hey pops." Hazel looks embarrassed but cant hide her happiness "Daaad! C'mon you saw me yesterday!"

2. Herman is helping Hemlock (Hes neighbour and long time friend) move some plant pots. Hemlock looks at him over his shoulder with a concerned yet calm tone "You know son... You don't have to be doing all this. Daffodil's will be mighty fine if you wanted to stay home a while!" He refers to Herman going out of his way to help everyone within the community during the war. Herman replies solemnly "They need me hem." showing he acknowledges he does a lot but he wants to help.

3. Herman is helping Turnip, a toon within the daffodil's community, with their allotment. "Heyyy, Good job kid! lookit those crops a-glowin. You've been tendin' to em promptly-like!" He is proud of Turnip for how well their crops are growing and gives him a proud fatherly pat on the head. Turnip is appreciative and responds with a "Yessir!"

4. Herman has dragged Presto into another 4 hour long "help out the community session". Presto typically won't get his hands dirty (unless its a business/beans metaphor) but Herman is very persuasive (and hazel gave presto no way out of it). Herman slaps him on the back "Good job boy!! I can see why my Hazel keeps ya around at work! All this work will put some real muscle on ya!" He appears genuinely proud. Presto, his suit dirtied, looks at his limit as he responds to the back handed compliment. "Gee... Thanks, I'll keep that in mind." He seems sarcastic. (Forced to help, its been 4 hours)

a screenshot of a discord message that reads "not really directly pointed at anyone in this discussion, but wanted to say that it’s also always important to never use other fan projects to put down any other, as well. i’ve been seeing it in a few scattered places, but i ask that no one ever use grindworks as the standard for how fast projects should move. it’s the same way i felt a few years ago when i’d always see “clash releases updates so fast, why doesn’t ttr move at that speed?” pitting two passion projects against each other like that is only gonna make both teams feel awkward and bad.

doesn’t matter what game or project we’re talking about. clear coasts, gags and gadgets, event horizon, hostile takeover, etc. if any of those take multiple more years to come out it’s fine, and not a problem of any team being “lazy”. there will absolutely be a time where grindworks development slows down or even stops entirely. and i wouldn’t want to be called lazy for prioritizing my own life and responsibilities over my hobby. we can start calling toontown projects lazy for not updating once disney comes out and officially endorses the monetization of toontown’s fan projects, leading to the return of the membership. until then, you gotta be grateful for the free work being put in."
