His mother is still alive. She grew up a bit naive/sheltered which is what her late father, Miraut’s grandsire, hoped for her after his own difficult life.

Did you know: my partner and I, prior to knowing one another at all, independently designed FFXIV OCs with dark green hair, green eyes, and freckles. We eventually decided to lean into this full-tilt and make them cousins/the genes for green hair/eye and freckles as dominant Drauvaix-specific genes
