I got the stylized spindash model working in-engine using a kind of goofy/jank rendering trick. (The model representing the outline is flattened along the view axis. It's imperfect and occasionally prone to occlusion by the sphere, but it also doesn't require any stencil mask nonsense.)

Think I've come to terms that I'm actually VERY good at understanding the technical limitations of 3D modeling, and my ability to develop complex and specific rigs is well beyond normal for my level of experience.
Artists, I think we're all too comfortable sharing our imposter syndrome.

I would love to see you step out of your comfort zone and confidently state what you think you're actually really good at.

No self deprecation, just what you think you're the strongest at

Lot of recent stuff with MH Wilds is distant from the diagetic aspects, but something really cool is that during lightning storms the villagers in Kunafa hide in their homes and you can't interact with them. Has me think about what if other
settlements behaved similarly during a state of emergency.

I love watching others learn 3D modelling because its such an exercise in problem-solving. Folks who're new to it don't have fancy tricks, in-depth familiarity, or convenient plugins ready to whip out every time they need a complicated shape. You can practically see the gears spinning as they work.
