I found out my college’s health service charged me $200 for saying “go to the ER” that day - to be fair, they were right. Today my primary care provider dropped me after I got on Medicaid, leaving me with $400 of bills after all possible aid. My job ended with the semester. I’m trying to get a new part-time job that will work around grad school, but it’s been a huge challenge for too many reasons to list. So, right now Mara is supporting me and their mom, who hasn’t been able to work since an injury this fall. I feel awful asking bc so many people are in worse situations.
