Oh dang, that's crazy. So glad you are alright in the end. *hugs tight*

Finished my last day of vacay in Theodore Roosevelt National Park, and went to the highest point in North Dakota. I even found a danger noodle. I was going to pet him, but he rattled his tail and kindly said "no thank you, sir." Waiting for my flight to get back to the real world and work tomorrow.

Thanks, I'll do mah best! Right now, my first flight is delayed, so connection might be very tight. Not sure if I can make it.

That sounds like a great way to celebrate! Have fun! :3

And thanks! It was hard to narrow down which photos to post. Badlands is so beautiful!
veskartiger.bsky.social
Heck yeah, that's awesome! I admit that before the trip, I set the bar lower for Badlands, but it exceeded expectations, and I really enjoyed my day there. :3 I didn't bring my fursuit on this trip, though, hehe.

I liked Cohort, yus. They also had a mead, which was pretty tasty (Not pictured in this flight).

I stopped by Cohort in Rapid City, but I drove by the Cohort in Hill City a few times, so yup. :3 Hope you can get that sorted sooner than later! Next time I'll be in Canada is late January to go skiing.

Noice, I had no clue or I woulda said we should meet up for a drink. I think in the evenings, I went to six or so different breweries for a tasting flight.

I typically work on my birfday too, so same. Glad it was still a great day, and I hope you get to do sumfin noteworthy to celebrate. :3

Maybe! I was in the western parts of ND and SD, and in the eastern part of WY, this trip.

Spent my last full day in Custer State Park, Wind Cave National Park, and make a quick stop to Mount Rushmore. Just a partial day from tomorrow morning to early afternoon, then back to DFW.

Cheers from Spearfish, SD. You rock them braids! Driving back to ND tonight to fly back home to DFW tomorrow late afternoon.

Hap birf, cat! How did you celebrate?
veskartiger.bsky.social
That's pretty cool how rare those danger noodles are, but you found em! :3

Wind Cave better be open because I am scheduled for a tour tomorrow, haha. Custer State Park is so unique! I saw some other great views too, but I had to pick my best two photos. I'll revisit Custer tomorrow to do a couple hikes I didn't have time for today. What was your wildlife find?
veskartiger.bsky.social
Got over 38,500 steps today in Custer State Park and Jewel Cave National Monument. Both places were amazing, plus I got some cave bacon! :D
veskartiger.bsky.social
For sure! There are other amazing views that I didn't share because I'm limited to four photos per post. I didn't expect Badlands to be this great in person. Totally worth it.
veskartiger.bsky.social
Oh yes, it was unbelievable. Totally worth the trip. I was fortunate that the high was only in the upper 70s F.

Just under 30,000 steps today at Badlands National Park. It felt like an alien landscape at times, but it had some beautiful scenery. Saw some bison, a ram, and tons of prairie doggos.

Visited Devil's Tower National Monument and Spearfish Falls today, then headed off to my next destination. Both places were so cool!
veskartiger.bsky.social
Did over 37,500 steps today in the southern section of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The bison and petrified forest were pretty cool!
veskartiger.bsky.social
I arrived sorta late today, but I did briefly check out a small portion of the south section of Theodore Roosevelt National Park, and it was pretty cool looking. I'm going back tomorrow morning to see more of it. :3

I brought my passport just in case, but it's very far out of the way, so it's unlikely.
