In the future, when civilization as we know it is unrecognizable from what it is now, and AI is but a notion of the past, real art will still be there in the ashes. AI could never replace real art because art is one of the most innately human things about us.

With my last post being looking back at the lessons I'd learned being an artist for one year, I'd like to make another post looking at another year of being an artist. I reached my goal of being able to draw people and I want to get better at that, especially for D&D character art stuff.

As of today, I've been an artist for a full year. To celebrate, I wanted to make a post, not focused on the progress I've made, but rather about what I did to stick with it. Finally done with my third D&D party member piece, this is Lysithea Lycester, our party's changeling (currently in their half elf form) soulknife rogue. They're a spy working for an underground rebellion against the evil Empire, and their position in the Empire creates distrust among the party.

Are there any iPad artists who can help me figure out why the colors of my Procreate art is so different when I'm drawing it compared to when I post it online? The colors of my last piece looked a lot darker when I was drawing it, and the color difference is a pattern I've been noticing.

Also this is the attack I'm most proud of this year because I was shocked I was capable of making this.
Now that Art Fight is over, I can say I really enjoyed my first year! This year, I did 7 attacks. I was hoping to have done a few more, but life got in the way and I'm happy with the attacks I did this year, seeing people's reactions to them, and the progress I've made as an artist. See you next AF!

God I wish Capcom would bring Megaman back, and not just the brief nostalgia call back to Megaman Classic. Just them realizing Megaman is a franchise people like.

Tomorrow is Art Fight and I hadn’t taken a real try at drawing her until now and fwiw I’m happy with it. I hope to keep getting better to keep drawing her more. See you at Art Fight!
