The other day I was taping a radio show with an author. In the middle of the conversation he began talking about Sherwood Anderson.

Then we started discussing James Joyce.

This guy had written a book about baseball.

I kept waiting for him to mention Thomas Mann!

Or, Kafka!

But he didn't.

If a cat knows you and trusts you it will allow you to gently scratch over about 99% per cent of that creature's body and that cat will thoroughly enjoy that purrfect attention. But you really need to know the cats very, very well.

Otherwise, you could lose an eye. Or two.

Some good Catvice:

Cats really love being gently scratched on their chests right between their front legs. This is a place they cannot reach. All our cats love it when you scritch'em there.

Be aware cats unaccustomed to this might freak out and tear you to ribbons.
