Hillary won the popular vote over Trump by a higher margin than Trump won the popular vote over Kamala (that’s what Kamala’s saying)
Well same but it’s unlikely as you say
It would still be the case that we would have given up nuclear weapons when the US, Russia and North Korea still have theirs and that there would be more Russian influence on the US, not less. The Greens’ policy just sucks, it’s OK
That’s why we’re massively investing in defence and building a coalition of the willing in Europe. But the Greens’ defence policy is to give up the nuclear deterrent and leave NATO which = saying no to vast amounts of US money and more Russian influence on the US, not less. It’s crackers
Nobody likes it. But it’s reality, the technology exists and is well established - so of course the Greens pretend it’s a good idea to break up the most successful military alliance the world has ever known
But, again, it’s not on the cards. Things change but the left’s fantasies remain the same
The Greens don’t want nuclear weapons. It’s not a good idea for the US, Russia and North Korea to have nukes and for the EU to have none. Honestly the way educated people fall for “nasty Trump bad, no nukes good” 🙄
Oh please, just start your retirement and say fuckety bye already
The Greens don’t want nuclear weapons. It’s a great idea for the US, Russia and North Korea to have nukes and for the EU to have none…right?
It’s in our interests to try to keep the US in given their huge monetary contribution and so they don’t align with Russia, China and every other dictator. If the US leaves tomorrow we, Ukraine and all of Europe are up shit creek, but at least Greens and some Bluesky posters will feel good about it
Plus they fundamentally don’t want nuclear weapons. It’s a great idea for the US, Russia and North Korea to have nukes and for the EU to have none…right?
But there isn’t going to be an alternative in place, is there? Quite apart from that it’s in our interests to try to keep the US in (i) given their huge monetary contribution and (ii) so that they don’t align with Russia, China and every other dictator. The Greens’ policy just sucks, it’s OK
Sorry you’re completely right, the Greens have a very responsible and totally watertight defence policy at a time of land war in Europe - how silly of me
It’s not on the cards though, it’s all a fantasy. Just like his notion that the water companies can all be nationalised for free without compensating shareholders
He said that he wants to leave NATO, just “not now”. The official Green Party position isn’t as crackers as Sultana, but getting there
It would have been helpful for Peston himself to work out “exactly what the Tories are proposing on immigration” before interviewing Katie Lam and giving her a platform to spout her nonsense unchallenged. Just a thought
More or less infantile than the Greens’ pledges to leave NATO while there’s a land war in Europe, and to make Uni free, nationalise water, do NHS pay restoration instantly and pay for Waspi compensation with money we don’t have? 🙄
It’s not though, is it? This outcome if reflected in reality would result in the full implementation of Reform’s Project 2029 plan
The meme will never not be true though ☺️
The Greens when they win 12 seats and Reform wins 346
I think it would have been much better if this went “sorry for broken public finances, broken public services, tax cuts we couldn’t afford, high borrowing costs, low growth, trashed relationships with allies and for leaving the Tories vulnerable to a hard right takeover”
