man, FFXVI is so good! the combat got much better right when i was getting bored of it. now it's much more complex and the protag is more interesting after being boring for the first few hours

started Final Fantasy XVI the other night, no spoilers but it takes a couple hours for combat to get good. also: YOU CAN PET THE DOG!

Seems likely we move on from Darnold but all this success is putting a ton of pressure on JJmccarthy. what happens if we go 5-12 next year and everyone's like "YO MCCARTHY SUCKS SHOULDA KEPT DARNOLD FOR $100M" no way mccarthy can replicate darnold's success in his first year as a starter, right?
