My good friend Jess reading out names of innocent ppl who have a lost their lives to road violence.

Candles represent lives lost.

It’s so wrong when our elected reps place the convenience of drivers over prioritizing the safety of vulnerable road users.

I couldn't be in DC today. I recently visited extended fam in China & my dad told me about my Great Aunt who was killed by a reckless driver. He said his mom was utterly bereft telling him the news. It pains me to know my dad told similar news to me when my cousin Jamie was killed #WDoR2025 (1/2)
Unsafe speeds are a primary factor in about one-third of the 40,000+ traffic deaths in the U.S. each year. This morning we walked and biked to the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC in honor of our loved ones affected by traffic crashes. #WDoR2025

Roughly 40,000 people are killed in traffic crashes each year, with speeding contributing to nearly a third of those fatalities.

On #WDoR2025, we remember and honor those who have lost their lives and those who have been injured, and we act to implement evidence-based solutions to end this crisis.
