Serious question: What's stopping the State of Illinois from arresting Stephen Miller & charging him with incitement?

The Senate didn't confirm him. He's just a guy.

At some point, the states MUST use their authority to prosecute, because the federal government certainly will not.

i like Loop for sleeping, but they block out too much sound for listening, imo. i use Hearos for music. Etymotics are similar, and also work well.

Bands should never, ever share footage of themselves in the recording studio control room tracking “heavy” music while they’re chilling in an ergonomic desk chair, wearing shorts and flip-flops. It totally kills the mystery

Martyrs (the original, i've never bothered with the remake) has a home invasion element. although it goes...a lot of other places....

some local pals playing country punk with angular guitar weirdness sprinkled throughout - definitely evokes Meat Puppets vibes at times. americanbeautifulness.bandcamp.com/album/normal...

you mentioned you thought it was self released - if it's on even a small independent label, the artist likely has to pay an agreed upon rate per copy which is unlikely to just be the manufacturing cost. plus if the records had to get shipped to artist, that can be costly. $40 does seem steep, though

i also have the Tascam Model 12. i love a digital recorder that operates like a tape machine!

I definitely remember vocal Replacements fans in the 80s and 90s. Mostly because I didn't like the band very much, so I found their fans (and the sloppy local bar bands they influenced) annoying. 🤣

check out On Fillmore, Glenn Kotche's duo with bassist Darin Gray. (it's not remotely dad rock, despite both of them being dads 🤣)

I still have that Fahey set in the big clunky multi disc jewel case. Love it!

i love this one! i still have the aRCHIVE cd edition.

it certainly helped that the "one guy" was one of the funniest people on earth at that point.

it is pretty hilarious that it's nominated for Academy awards. It's about as subtle as a Twisted Sister video!

IMO, you're overthinking it. I found it to be ridiculous, but in a fun, bonkers way. i enjoyed it quite a bit as kooky, gory escapism.

i present to you....the best of both worlds...

i still love that Three Mile Pilot album

Recommended if you like some weirdo jazz in your modern compositions, and vice versa.
