This is a very dark timeline. And twump isn't even the biggest problem, he's just the face. Even if he goes they'll keep pushing.
Right now I'm waiting to see how they'll try to prevent any coming elections.

I mean, a little? Deportations to El Salvador without trial, ICE budget being raised to more than Poland's entire military budget, and way back in the beginning, shutting down USAID, likely leasing to hundreds of thousands of deaths all over the world... Google 'project 2025 progress' for more fun.

I do. Without them we never would have known russia could be stopped, we'd still believe the propaganda of them being unstoppable.
And though I understand it's complicated, a large part of me wishes that we would simply smack russia down together, and end this unnecessary conflict.

But it should certainly be more common to hear given that it's still happening. Find and arrest them all, make it impossible to keep dodging sanctions without consequences. They're there for a reason.

Older couple at the coffee place I frequent wished me an early happy new year. I said I had hope it would be, they said they didn't. I said that at least on a small scale we can try to make it good.
They didn't seem convinced.
There's a heavy pessimism in the air. I get it. But I don't want it.
