University student Süeda Güngör has been imprisoned since June 20 for actions that do not constitute any crime.

With the passing of her father, İbrahim Güngör who had been released from prison on a stretcher her grief has doubled.

Femicide continues!

In İzmir, a man named Ramazan Ümit Görgülü shot,killed his ex-girlfriend,Selin Angun,while she was sitting in an entertainment venue. After the incident, the suspect fled but was later found dead at his residence,shot in the chest,by police officers.

24-year-old university student Sueda Güngör was arrested on June 17. Her father, İbrahim Güngör, who suffered from Alzheimer’s disease, was not released despite all appeals and died in prison. Sueda was not allowed to attend her father’s funeral++

Among nearly 1,500 ill prisoners, housewife Ayşe Solak has also been incarcerated. Undergoing treatment for breast cancer, Solak was placed in Aydın Prison after her sentence, based on so called evidence, was upheld. ++
