Here’s a statement that just came in from the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR):

“By preserving the Ordinance as-is, Chicago is standing up for the constitutional rights of all residents and maintaining the policies that reflect our welcoming values.”

Chicago voted to let the local police aid ICE with immigrants and undocumented minor interactions.
I hope this let's UC/UACs feel safer.
