Oh. I'm not sure I realized that Alisa was thinking about Gwyn here at first. Actually, she ends up taking a very international view of what she should be doing as the arc goes further on, so that's pretty full circle.

Gaius being the one character who joins Class VII already knowing more or less what he wants to do puts him in a pretty interesting position. He's not quite a leader, but there's a reliability that you only get from him this early.

Gaius was exceptionally mature for his age, but it's also a little wild that Bergard jumped right in teaching him about this. 😭 It ended up being pretty necessary, so I can't really say he was wrong.

It says so much about Alisa that this is one of the first things she says to Gwyn. No matter how complex her feeling toward her grandfather are, her compassion comes through above everything else. She's simply too sweet for anything other than that.

This is the first mention of the Nord being from east of Calvard, I believe. Later games also bring this up, so I wonder if that'll ever be significant.

They were paid DLC to begin with, so I can't particularly blame them for not showing up more. It's just a little odd that they stopped making them after a certain point.

Cross-platform is the reason. When your old, last-gen console is playing the same exact games, it raises the question of why exactly you should be buying a PS5 to begin with.
