Here is my ideas for an enemy hybrid cycle styled like sludge titan. Probably could do with tweaks but it gives a rough idea.

i don't feel like magic set surveys usually have this question and i don't appreciate the implication that content creators, who do so so much for the game, are possibly to blame for a bad set's poor performance. 👎

Mechanically RW will probably be burn and life gain and UG will be probably be look at the top 5 cards put one in hand for the blue bit, put a land/low mv creature from hand into play for the green bit. Not sure what GR will be, maybe removal of some kind? Burn a creature or kill a flying thing?

We got a blue/black one called Deceit. My guess is that the cycle will be the colour combos opposite to the shocklands in the set. So RG, RW and UG. No idea for names.

I think wotc is overestimating how popular marvel currently is in general.

It's really funny seeing this after I made a post about how bad limited was this year lmao. It's magic's most profitable year, sure, but I wouldn't call it the greatest.

I'm actually not sure what year I would call the greatest.

I reckon this is gonna be a flashpoint for magic. Something breaks everything and then it all gets "fixed" but the universe is fundamentally changed allowing wotc to just retcon anything they want to retcon.
Potentially also merging UB into the magic universe in the actual story.

Also I think I'm in the minority with thinking EoE was an okay limited format, a lot of people didn't like it which makes Final Fantasy the only standard set this year that people generally liked playing in limited.

So far this might actually be the worst year for limited since wotc scrapped the block structure.

Final Fantasy was great, Edge of Eternities was okay.
Aetherdrift, Dragonstorm and now Spider-Man were all some of the worst limited sets I've ever played.

Hoping Avatar is good but I'm not confident.

Did a sealed. Went 4-3 with Selesnya Spiders.
Got 1 close game (which I lost) and everything else wasn't close with one player just absolutely thrashing the other.

Well I've tried out the new set and it was not good.
Drafted Villains and played 4 games, 3 of them were against blue/black and 1 was against red/black.
Felt like luck (both in draft pool and draws) was the main decider for every game.
Should I try traditional draft or sealed?

Oh I'd love more on what it is about the designs of older regions you miss.
