Sonora High School's football team took home its second straight CIF State championship, and Calaveras High School's team had its greatest season in history with a CIF State championship win as well. Congratulations to all of the students, coaches, and families on your amazing accomplishments!

The idea that 50-year mortgages will somehow fix our housing crisis is absurd. This is just another opportunity for the banks to get richer and for the people to remain in debt.

How many times will entire communities be destroyed by wildfire before DC takes real action? Preparedness, resiliency, and protection are not out of reach. It just takes a leader who is committed to delivering resources back to home.

My grandparents were forcibly removed from their home during WW2. Their crime? Being Japanese Americans. The fear and division that drove our country to put citizens into internment camps is not that far off from what is happening in our streets today. Period.
