Our farmers feed us, employ us, and keep Canada running. The federal government needs to step up and show up! I hope to see notable investments in the agriculture industry in this upcoming budget, alongside a strategic plan to better support farmers and the earth we grow our food from. #cdnpoli #ndp
Carney tells us all that we have to "make sacrifices,” but the reality is that there's so many prosperous ways in which we could and should be investing in Canada right now that his government is refusing to see.
Thank you to the AFN for showing us a clear roadmap towards growing Canada's economy.

It’s always a good time to celebrate libraries! One of our few truly public spaces left in our Country.
We’re turning the page on Library Month 📖 but don’t judge a book by its cover…because we love libraries all year long!

I love supporting and celebrating all of the amazing work that libraries do to serve communities across BC, as both the Minister responsible for literacy programs… /1

Let's build transportation that connects rural and urban communities, that supports health care access, support services access, sports access, all the other things that enable Canadians to have a good life, and that empowers our economy towards a green future. #cdnpoli #publictransit #ndp #canada
Federally, support private member's bill, Bill C-247, to repeal Section 107. Restrict it from the Constitution. Wab’s making moves in Manitoba sending any use for a legal review before it’s able to be enacted. It’s a grotesque use of power and privilege and it needs to stop.
This is so so heartwarming to read! Means the world!
The NDP should be free to join! 🍊
To grow our movement for the working class, Tanille will remove membership fees if elected leader.

The Future can be bright.
Tish James lit up the room last night — and her words echoed far beyond the walls of The United Palace. This is a fight for the future.
It takes a strong, bold New Democratic Party to push impactful legislation across the line to deliver for the everyday working Canadian.
@sproudfoot.bsky.social the NDP during Covid negotiated Pharmacare, $10/day childcare, dental plan & anti scab legislation, 10 days sick leave for Fed regulated workers, so your comment on "working people" issues not capitalized on, is a bit off the mark.
Beautiful! Adding training capacity for physicians in our country! Now, we need to mobilize a national credentialing program to ensure that we’re able to offer easy pathways to employment in Canada for all the phenomenal graduates. #CanadianMedicalAssociation #MedicalCouncilofCanada
Applications are now open for SFU's new medical school in #Surrey! It’s the first in western Canada in almost 60 years — and it’s focused on training family doctors for B.C. SFU has also secured a permanent location for the new state of the art medical school in Surrey

Today, I introduced the Sexual Violence Policy Act, strengthening how B.C.’s public post-secondary institutions prevent and respond to sexual violence.

We’re taking action to build safer campuses where everyone feels supported and protected.

Today in QP, I pressed the govt to honour its word: no province or Indigenous group will be forced into unwanted energy projects. Coastal First Nations have been clear—no pipelines or oil tankers in these ecologically sensitive waters.. #ProtectOurCoast #cdnpoli #IndigenousRights

Note this is not a City campaign, but it's aligned with the motion passed last night.
Keep our power local
Brookfield wants to export 100% of our local hydro power to the U.S. until 2055. Families here bear the costs, while the U.S. gets the benefits. Add Your Voice!
