OpenAI appears as corrupt and anti-competitive with the use of black hat practices as Uber or Facebook was when they were emerging.

Is that what it takes to succeed in Silicon Valley today?

If you think American innovation is in good hands you might be surprised with what happens in the future.

TIL: Oracle apparently owns the trademark for the word "JavaScript"

Crazy, right? All along I thought it was just another phrase like the "world wide web".

Deno filed a petition to USPTO to cancel it.

Repost to spread the word.

OpenAI is increasingly working with the Pentagon & National Defense Sector. Pretty concerning tbh.

Anduril and OpenAI to advance U.S. Artificial Intelligence "leadership and protect U.S. and allied forces.

They will focus on improving the US counter-unmanned aircraft systems (CUAS). Yikes.

I definitely feel less and less interested in Twitter, but I appreciate this because it has the exact vibe I'd use to describe how it feels right now. A man desperate for relevance makes escalating levels of bad decisions in pursuit of the love of a man who lacks empathy or morals

Journalists flock to Bluesky as X becomes increasingly 'toxic'
Journalists are finding more readers and less hate on Bluesky than on the platform they used to know as Twitter.

Are you a refugee from Twitter?

What's your story? The Exodus is real.

I'm also a refugee from Threads. LinkedIn is so cringe, but I can tolerate Stackstack notes. As a blogger it drives a lot of traffic.

Shocking as it sounds, it’s quite possible people prefer the civility and community of Bluesky over being force fed some cooked up algorithm concocted by a bombastic billionaire to amplify trolls, bots, and miscreants. Imagine that!

It's "on-device LLM" today.

Soon, it'll be "on-chip" LLM. Or LLM cores. The system default local LLM. The coding framework's default local LLM.

I find this incredibly exciting. A privacy-first, self-contained, user-owned AI—a 24/7 agent for action, insights & feedback.
