But now that I’ve written it, that in an of itself seems like a flimsy plot device. Because more so to your point, he’s a sorcerer supreme, so he probably has to make really hard decisions daily… The fact that he was able to be swayed by puppy dog Peter is crazy.

I completely agree with you!! I think the film tried to explain away his incompetency by illustrating how Peter Parker was able to tug at Doctor Strange’s heart strings, and caused him to do something against his own better judgment.

Can I just say that Forest Whitaker‘s role in Ghost Dog is criminally underrated, not to mention this film itself is a fucking gem. This is a 1999 film directed by Jim Jarmusch, and it pulls inspiration from two 1967 films. The Samurai, and Branded To Kill. If you haven’t seen it, watch it!
