Very early in tech, identity was highlighted as a very difficult problem to solve. Bill Gates talked about it frequently within Microsoft. IAM has become so complex it’s now a discipline. Identity isn’t solved, it will continue to evolve. What’s meant for my ears, may not be meant for my eyes.

Employer Bossware has always been able to track you. It’s just every now and then another story pops up to remind you, and then everyone forgets again because you don’t have a choice.

There actually is a way to design DNS to not be terrible. I guess this is a lost art.

AV cybersecurity is.. not great. vendors still have things like default port 25 mail relays, regular telnet, and default passwords. However, the industry gets near zero scrutiny from cybersecurity practitioners. Likely because it’s known bad and AV/Media vendors are not pressured. 🤷🏻
