No Christian is being courageous when they supposedly stand up for biblical truth while ignoring the other Christian virtues. The truly courageous are those who stand firm and do so in Christlike ways.

Conviction sounds like, “I failed. I should turn to Christ.” Condemnation sounds like, “I'm a failure. I should give up.” The Christian should lean into conviction and ignore condemnation.
