I love the feeling of realizing that a “quick fix” will now take 10 hours, because years ago some programmer typed “private” out of habit, rather than “public”.
It’s the more advanced tongue tracking that convinced you to upgrade, right?
that’s looks amazing!
Fast Fur V5.1.0 is officially released!

I actually added a whole bunch of new stuff, but the one feature EVERYBODY wants is the new Light Volumes support, lol...
Hah... I definitely need this! Sacred was showing it off to me this weekened by biting my ears, lol...
New trailer for VRCBiteTech, by @madmanvr.bsky.social and I!

VRCBiteTech allows user to grab physbones with their mouth via face tracking! Use code "bite" to get it for only 3$ for the next week!

Also doing a giveaway, like❤️, repost 🔁, and follow to enter! Details below

Programming is like tennis, I lob a bug fix toward my code, it spikes another bug right back at me. Fun!
yeah, it’s disappointing, but it’s understandable considering Apple has a history of being first to drop hardware support for aging technology.

Geometry shaders are basically obsolete now, since compute shaders came along.
In my testing, using a geometry shader to generate multiple layers is faster than doing parallax in the fragment shaders.

However, I’m sure it depends on the complexity of the fragment shaders.

Regardless, the big disadvantage of geometry shaders is that Apple M-series chips don’t support them.

VRC Light Volumes! They look amazing! Go find out more:- github.com/REDSIM/VRCLi...
Just posted Fast Fur v5.1.0.Beta.7 on my Discord server, ready for testing!

It has a new render quality system that can finally handle FoV properly, which is a technical puzzle that had me stumped me literally for years!
33% of my shader knowledge came from those catlikecoding tutorials

33% from bgolus forum posts

33% from Freya Holmer YouTube tutorials

1% from Unity official documentation
Oof… that sucks. Is still the tooth / gum pain?
Ooof... dizzy spell! My least favourite feeling!

Trying to find somewhere to buy dramamine typically results in additional dizziness, due to 99% of all the "cures" being sold in stores and online just being some form of placebo.
Oof, being sick is no fun! Hopefully the doctor is able to help!
I couldn't get through the game "Heart of the Emberstone" because despite the lovingly created world, every location had written or audio explanations detailing the full backstory of everything. It felt like trying to watch a movie where a loudmouth in the theatre won't stop explaining the film.

If you accidentally hit it, go strait and hit ‘B’ until you hear a musical note. That will prevent you from spinning out.
Ooof… yeah, I’m sorry, they really suck.

At the momement the left side of my head is burning and feels like it’s full of pins, but it’s way better than it was 3 days ago.
Rokoko decided to change their ToS and start selling my motion capture data.

Thankfully, I'd already returned the suit and gloves, due to technical issues (my house has major radio interference problems).

The staff were very nice people to deal with. Polite, helpful, understanding, etc...
Personally, I feel like I'm only just starting to figure out life.

I thought I did once before, though, back in the 80s, but it turned out I just wasn't being empathetic.

Truly caring about other people's feelings is a difficult skill to learn, so at the time I was just angry at them instead.
24 hours since v5.0 launch, and only 1 critical game-breaking (ie. ChilloutVR) bug reported! lol...

I've posted the fix. I accidentally this line of code:
I finally have a working proof-of-concept solution for my Vive tracker radio interference problems!

I can plug 4 trackers into a Raspberry Pi, which is running VirtualHere. It uses 5GHz, so no interference with the other 4
trackers.

Now I just need to clean up the cables!
Fortunately, I don’t need all 10, since I do have Vive trackers. So I will go through support channels when I have time.

I just wanted to see if they can help resolve the radio interference problems I get when trying to use more than 4 Lighthouse devices.
Finally got some Slime trackers!

9/10 are working, this one, not so much...
