I've read some of Sam Harris but not a lot. I've seen Richard Dawkins and he's a fully trained and fully educated scientist. Who happens to be an atheist. I don't think anything that he says is pseudo

I didn't say that. Of course some of the people, in fact many of the people, responsible for the fascist Trump our atheists, and some of them even claim to be Christians. My point was that for the true atheist, there is no set of beliefs on which to base any support of trump

I’m not saying otherwise. But to say that atheists as a group of people are absolved of any responsibility for Trump is demonstrably false. As mentioned, many of the people *most* responsible for Trump’s election are atheists.

If I gave that impression I didn't mean to. I don't think that Trump has any religious beliefs. If he talks about the Bible for example, he's doing it to pander to Christians. He's a sociopath. He's interested in power. He will pretend to be anything he needs to be in order to get what he wants.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. The point I was making was that a theist's hands are often bloody because they are following the tenets of a religion. If an atheist's hands are bloody, it's generally because the atheist is bloody minded.

This is definitely true. He's an atheist but that's not why he's the dangerous asshole that he is. It's because he's a sociopath and a narcissist.

The point is that theists often commit crimes or are biased because of beliefs that are ingrained in their religion. Atheists certainly commit crimes and have biases, but by definition there is no belief system. It just happens that they are criminals or prejudiced.

Yes, he happens to be an atheist, but anything he did to promote and support Trump had nothing to do with his atheism. It this is in contrast to Evangelical Christians who often hold biases or take actions based on some of the ridiculous beliefs in their faith

Yes but the question would be, are they committing their actions based on the ideology or whatever it is called atheism? For example is a man who happens to be an atheist killing another man because he doesn't like the fact that that man believes in God?

It's getting to the point where you can't really say anything more about this shithead who happens to be president of the United States. It's just disaster after disaster. I know what I want to happen to him. I've seen it in several movies. None of them by Disney
