Hurricane Melissa is approaching Jamaica this morning as a category 5 hurricane with sustained winds of 175 mph and a surface pressure of 901 mb. This low surface pressure makes Hurricane Melissa the 8th most intense storm ever recorded in the Atlantic.

The top of Mount Mansfield is turning into a Winter Wonderland!☃

The flakes started falling earlier this morning and we were able to capture the snow starting to accumulate with our SkyWatch 3 camera. But for anyone not ready for snow season, the snow will be staying at the highest peaks for now.
Trump issued disaster declarations for Alaska and other states but denies Vermont, Illinois, and Maryland. The decisions fell mostly along party lines.
