Temperatures are a few degrees cooler than yesterday with highs reaching the mid to upper 20s this afternoon. There are still a few lingering snow flurries and those will stick around today. But we'll also have some nice breaks of sunshine!

Here's a look at the snowfall so far across our region! Our high point is Glover with 6.1" of snow as of mid-morning. Generally, snow totals range from 3-5" of snow with a bit more in the higher elevations and slightly less across the valleys of southern Vermont.

SCATTERED SNOW TODAY

Snow showers continue on and off through the rest of the day with temperatures near normal in the upper 20s and low 30s. The snow will taper off overnight, leaving an additional trace to 2" away from the mountains and up to 6" in the higher elevations.

Snow arrives in northern NY late morning/early afternoon and continues to push eastward into VT and NH through the afternoon and early evening. The heaviest of the snow will be around 5-7pm. Please go slowly and use caution on the roads!

🌅BRIGHTER MORNINGS!🌅

Today is the first sunrise before 7am since late November! Sunrise in Burlington is 6:59am and sunrise will continue to get earlier for about a month. Once we hit March 8th and clocks spring forward sunrise returns to after 7am until March 18th.

A few snow showers are moving through southern Vermont early this morning. With road temperatures in the single digits and low teens, snow could accumulate on roadways and cause localized slick spots. Then more widespread travel impacts are expected as heavy snow moves through this evening.

The Winter Weather Advisory has been expanded to include most of our region ahead of this afternoon's snow. Heavy snow is likely through this evening with snow showers continuing through tomorrow. A widespread 2-4" of snow is likely with higher amounts in the mountains.

The coldest temperature ever recorded in each state is -50° in both New Hampshire and Vermont, and -52° for New York!🥶

The coldest locations in our viewing area this morning in each state were -34° in Northumberland, New Hampshire, -29° in East Haven, Vermont, and -21° in Lake Placid, New York.

Widespread snow will arrive in northern NY first tomorrow afternoon and push eastward into Vermont and New Hampshire by tomorrow evening. It does look like we'll be seeing some heavy snow with this system which could lead to low visibility and snowy roads during the evening commute.
