ROOFMAN is quite a pleasant surprise. Totally forgot it was directed by Derek Cianfrance. The trailer does the movie a disservice. It's more dramatic than funny, which of course makes sense being from Cianfrance. Channing Tatum's best performance to date. A very pleasant surprise

The film looks great, features great performances all around, but feels a bit emotionally cold and distant. It's workman like and does it's job, yet, there's something missing, and I wonder if it's director Benny Safdie's brother.

Just magnificent from start to finish and it reveals its mighty titan status with its chest puffed out during a repeat viewings where you get to truly just watch. PTA’s most entertaining and straightforward but it doesn’t compromise anything along the way.

THE LONG WALK: Bleak and dystopian STAND BY ME, feat. two triumphant performances from David Jonsson (as a day 1 Industry fan, super cool to see his rise) and Cooper Hoffman. Very timely - and won me over with surprising emotional impact. Good year for Stephen King adaptations.

It's nearly 3 hour runtime absolutely flies by. Lucky enough to see it on VistaVision and can't wait to see it again on IMAX 70mm.

Best Director is PTA's to lose. Even more impressive considering its film 10 and it feels like he is operating at an entirely different level.

All the hype about Sean Penn is deserved, it may be his best performance to date. Chase Infiniti, Teyana Taylor, Regina Hall, and Benecio are all stand tall as well.

Johnny Greenwood delivers another mighty score, one that is as pulsating and frantic as what unfolds on screen.

It has a zany dark sense of humor and one of the all time great car chase sequences - shot in a way that feels innovative + inspired. Leo delivers a unhinged stoned performance I didn't know I needed.

ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER: PTA delivers an absolute scorcher that is relentless in its momentum and thrills. Whatever you're expecting, it finds a way to exceed that and surprise. Incredible set pieces, wild action, and a timely message that makes its impact even stronger.

Pulp last week at Forest Hills Stadium. One of the best shows of the year. And a show that reinvigorated my camera again for the first time in a while
