Impressive Bureau of Meteorology radar loop of Severe Tropical Cyclone Fina, which BOM estimates has sustained winds of ~130 mph, I.e. major hurricane intensity. It is forecast by BOM to weaken slightly as it approaches the northeast Kimberley coast over the next 24 hours.

RECORD SHATTERING HAIL: fell last night in Morrison OK. This is the largest hail measured in the month of November for anywhere in the state. The old record was baseball size 2.75" in Tulsa in 2003......

Freezing Fog showing up in PA this morning (pink double lines). Pittsburgh issued their first ever Freezing Fog Advisory (blue). However... the issuance seems to depend on NWS office so that stat may not be as impressive as it sounds. (maps in comments)

Who measured a 252-mph gust in Hurricane Melissa?? THIS GUY! (well, one just like him). A new record for a dropsonde.
(This is 1 mph below the WMO wind record from Australia in 1996 which was measured in a hurricane BUT at the surface)
