A beautiful and healthy 400 year old oak tree near my house was mysteriously assessed as “dying” and cut down after surveyors said it was thriving
probably a coincidence that the landowner wants to let a local football club pave over the site but couldn’t bc of the tree

like most of these food things, there’s v much a sensory barrier you have to overcome. if your father isn’t coaxing you to munch chitin from a young age i feel like it’s probably difficult to start….

i feel like the key difference is when you buy strawberries they just have the tops not the leaves. strawbs grew really badly in our garden but im sure if they’d made it the leaves would’ve been munched too!
