Canadians deserve better discourse around #energy. We need more discussions like this interview with @maxfawcett.bsky.social from @energimedia.bsky.social

Knowing how many students are in #Alberta classrooms is the most efficient way of funding each student. The #UCP is not about efficiency or effectiveness. This article helps explain some of the issues that the UCP created by and for themselves. This is incompetence. #AB

ANALYSIS | Alberta stopped tracking class sizes. Then it changed its funding formula. Now, it's a teachers' strike issue | CBC News
Get a rough idea of how much Alberta’s teaching staff has grown compared to how much student enrolment has grown since the funding formula for school boards was changed.

The #Alberta #teachers #strike is a result of poorly designed metrics that do little to improve classrooms, let alone maintain existing standards for classrooms. The problem with #education is a #UCP lack of funding as a result of an inadequate system of funding. Pathetic

As an aside, now that the Calgary police department has thrown their support behind UCP supported Sonja Sharp, I wonder what the connection is between the surprise (and not very transparent) departure (forced resignation?) of Calgary’s previous police chief? It smells bad. Just saying. Thoughts?

They think they are winning because they refuse to listen to any criticism or opinion that differs from theirs and they shut it down. Not being aware of the opinions of all of your Alberta neighbours is not the same as winning.

Nepotistic favouritism. Am I surprised? No. What are we not hearing about?
wellgoodelsie.bsky.social
Exactly! It’s shameful regardless of where it’s happening. It’s not a problem that any Canadian should ignore.

Ugh. It’s time the people and the planet we live on are prioritized over profits. How does this benefit us, the people, and our land that sustains us?

This frightens me greatly. I think of how much of earth’s history was shaped by an anoxic atmosphere and single cell organisms. What we have here on earth is precious to us and everything we know.

WTF is this and what business does the #Alberta government have in launching smear campaigns against our teachers? #Education is greatly valued by Albertans and funding has been a big battle between the government and education for almost as long as I can remember.

Does this same challenge apply to our elected representatives? Has Marlaina been challenged yet?
wellgoodelsie.bsky.social
Marlaina, is it vicious compliance or is it a problem with the list? I think it’s a problem with the list because the bible is the most violent and most sexual book I have ever read. If we’re banning graphic, violent, and sexual books the bible is the culprit book #ABpoli
