I doubt the ACA subsidies will he extended, even if it actually gets to a floor vote. Why? Because then Johnson and his Trump GOP minions would be admitting THEY were the reason for the prolonged government shutdown. Because, of course, it's all about saving face and not about helping Americans.

Trump calls "affordability" a hoax. Well, I'd like the Orange Taco to know one of my utility bills - my gas bill - went up 25% this year. My gas usage has not changed year over year. Trump is either stupid, ignorant or both. Ordinary Americans are paying the bills; we would know. Trump is the hoax.

I was reminded today that the upcoming Kennedy Center honors will be hosted by Trump. I will not be watching it or recording it. First time. It will be cringe-worthy. I watched the @cnn.com story "Prime Minister", about Jacinda Arden of New Zealand. It was an uplifting story of what a success she was, as a PM and as a new mother in her term. It is what a leader should be. It also reinforced what a shit show were living in the United States. Trump needs to go.

Airline officials are saying that travel should be back to normal next week. It is highly doubtful if what they said previously is true. They said there were a significant number of resignations and/or retirements since the shutdown began, so how can things be normal without all those controllers?
