sophie hood i finished recently, this is my second one! i knit it in a wool acrylic blend so i would feel better about chucking it in the wash. i made this the shortest size as well, because i work in a dusty warehouse and it gets cold #knitsky #knitting #showmeyourknits

i had a similar sitch in college bc they needed to preserve another soprano's voice but needed more altos. the women's choir i think i shined the most... director there really knew how to make us sound great

i was in this weird position where i feel like i was noticed by directors for odd reasons. the group in high school you had to audition for i never auditioned for, my teacher was just like "can you join". which was an ego boost but also that low range issue was present

choir i had a bit of trickiness bc i was in disposable soprano territory. i had a convincing sounding low range so directors would use me in a pinch when they needed more altos, but singing in my low range hurt bad

my highest notes have atrophied somewhat lol. back in college i intended on staying in women's choir even when i left normal choir to do work study instead, but the director changed to a different person and i didn't like that so i stopped
